Description
The introduction of the Euro 5 and Euro 6 standards has resulted in various manufacturers equipping their passenger car and truck engines with an AdBlue system.
AdBlue reduces harmful nitrogen gases (NOx) by up to 85%.
Application
- Your dashboard gives you a signal when it is time to refill AdBlue. When you get this signal you still have 2400 km of autonomy.
- When you refill your reservoir with at least 5 liters of AdBlue, the signal disappears.
- Do not wait until you are without AdBlue, in which case your vehicle will not start anymore.
Features And Benefits
- A product composed of 32.5% high purity urea and up to 67.5% demineralized water. In accordance with ISO standard 22241, AdBlue is used in diesel engines with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system.
- A trademark for AUS32, a 32.5% urea solution in demineralized water.
- Stored in a separate tank in cars and trucks.
- More and more cars are equipped with a special AdBlue storage tank.
Attention!
AdBlue is not an additive for diesel. So you should never pour it into the fuel tank. AdBlue has its own reservoir. Depending on the model, it is located in different places:
- next to the diesel reservoir;
- in the trunk;
- under the hood.
Usually the reservoir has a blue cap to avoid any confusion with the diesel reservoir.
