100% Synthetic Lubricant for Renault gasoline and diesel engines.
Applications
- Specifically designed for some recent RENAULT vehicles (Renault, Dacia, Samsung) marketed since 2018 and fitted with Gasoline and Diesel engines requiring a Renault RN17 FE approved oil.
- The RN17 FE standard is not backward compatible to any other Renault standards such as RN0700, RN0710, RN0720, RN17 or RN17 RSA and therefore cannot be used on engines requiring those norms.
- For non-RN17 FE compatible Diesel engines, that is to say up to September 2018 (Euro 6d-Temp standard), use only a Renault RN17 or RN0720 approved lubricant such as MOTUL Specific 17 5W-30 or Specific 0720 5W-30, according to the manufacturer's recommendation.
- Compatible with DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction), catalytic converters and GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter).

- RENAULT has developed RN17 FE standard for oils able to endure the most severe thermal constrains along with modern after treatment systems compatibility.
- The reduced levels of Sulfated Ash, Phosphorous and Sulfur contain (Mid-SAPS) technology of MOTUL SPECIFIC 17 FE 0W-20 protect and extend lifetime of modern after treatment systems such as DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) allowing NOx (Nitrous oxides) treatment through the use of AdBlue® additive or so-called “Diesel Exhaust Fluid”, and GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) on Gasoline engines.
- The 100% Synthetic base stock provides a high thermal stability and insures an exceptional resistance at high temperatures.
- Prevent from varnish and sludge to maintain engine cleanliness.
- Lower the risk of ring sticking.
- Maximum engine protection and performance of the lubricant preserved even in the most severe conditions.
- Low volatility for a reduced oil consumption and outstanding oxidation resistance of the oil to ensure extended oil drain intervals set by the carmaker.
- Fulfill the most stringent performance and durability requirements through the new and more severe Long Life Renault (LLR) validation test.
- The RN17 FE standard applies to some Renault Gasoline engines (except those requiring RN17 or RN17 RSA - RS and Alpine), and some recent Diesel (Euro 6 from mid-2018).
- The RN17 FE standard does not apply to Diesel engines requiring RN17 or RN0720. When in doubt, always refer to the vehicle owner’s manual.
- MOTUL SPECIFIC 17 FE 0W-20 provides a very resistant oil film, facilitates cold starts, reduces friction in the engine, maintains oil pressure and globally lowers engine operating temperature.
- Viscosity grade 0W-20 reduces the hydrodynamic friction of the oil, resulting in fuel savings especially when the lubricant is cold.
- Thanks to its excellent lubricating properties, MOTUL SPECIFIC 17 FE 0W-20 is resistant to high temperatures and oxidation, limits the formation of deposits, allows control of oil consumption and reduces wear.
