Wynns Off Car DPF Cleaner (18985) is a heavy-duty cleaner to thoroughly clean and remove blockages in particulate filters caused by soot, ash, and other contamination.
Applications
- For with all types of diesel particulate filters having serious clogging problems.
- Suitable for Commercial vehicle particulate filters.
- Can be used either by pouring directly into the filter, or by immersing the filter in a bath of the cleaner.

Usage advice
- Demount the filter and remove all probes/sensors.
- There are two alternative cleaning methods.
- Method 1 (self-contained cleaning):
- a. Seal one end of the filter & any opening where sensors have been removed with a bung or vinyl gloves.
- b. With the filter in an upright position fill the filter with Wynn’s Off Car DPF
- Cleaner ensuring the core of the filter is covered.s fuel tank.
- Method 2 (bath cleaning):
- a. Fill a receptacle with Wynn’s Off Car DPF Cleaner.
- b. Completely immerse the filter in the cleaning solution.
- Filter must be soaked for a minimum of 90 minutes (maximum 8 hours for heavily blocked filters).
- During the soak time the filter should occasionally be gently agitated, and the fluid level topped up if required.
- After soaking period, empty the filter and rinse with warm water from both sides until the water runs clear to ensure all contamination is removed.
- Dry filter, this can be done with a low-pressure airline.
- Re-mount the filter.
- Add one bottle of Wynn’s Diesel Extreme Injector Cleaner to the fuel tank.
